Copyright reports and the safeguards required before hosting community content.

1. Scope and reporting
The website currently publishes editorial content and links to external platforms, without public user uploads or posts. Report material on this site to serumwrites@gmail.com with the protected work, exact location, your relationship to the rights holder and contact information. Also report material hosted elsewhere through that platform’s process.
We do not claim that a designated agent is registered with the U.S. Copyright Office or that a particular section 512 safe harbor applies. Before relying on that framework for user content, we must register and publish required agent details, verify renewal and implement the notice, counter-notice and repeat-infringer process.
2. Statutory notice information
An infringement notice generally needs an authorized physical or electronic signature; identification of the protected work or appropriate representative list; identification and reasonably sufficient location of the material; reasonably sufficient contact information; a good-faith statement that the use is not authorized by the owner, agent or law; and an accuracy statement under penalty of perjury that the sender is authorized to act. Consider applicable limitations, including fair use. Knowingly material misrepresentations can have legal consequences.
3. Counter-notices and review
We evaluate reports and take appropriate action. A notice is not automatically a court finding and may need clarification. Where the statutory process applies, a counter-notice must identify removed material and its former location, include a signature and a statement under penalty of perjury of a good-faith belief in mistake or misidentification, provide the subscriber’s name, address and telephone number, consent to the federal district court for the subscriber’s address (or an appropriate district where the provider may be found if outside the United States), and accept service from the original notifier or agent.
The applicable process includes forwarding the counter-notice and the statutory restoration window, generally 10–14 business days after receipt of a compliant counter-notice unless the provider receives the specified notice of a court action seeking to restrain the activity. An informal objection alone does not promise immediate restoration. Reporting details may need to be shared with the other party; the eventual reporting interface must explain that first.
4. Repeat infringement
Before community participation opens, a reasonably implemented policy must provide for terminating repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances. Cases must link relevant evidence, warnings, removals, counter-notices, reinstatements, restrictions, termination decisions and appeals, with restricted staff access. There is no automatic rule that only final uncontested court findings count or that every unverified allegation is a strike.
The process must address evasion, mistaken identity, fraudulent notices and applicable standard technical measures. Registration or wording alone does not establish safe-harbor eligibility. No working community or moderation queue is claimed today.
5. Our rights records
Published assets need actual rights and license records covering contributors, recordings, fonts, code and artwork. We do not claim every generated asset has exclusive copyright or that a pen name transfers rights. A future company transfer requires proper assignments and permissions. Send rights inquiries to serumwrites@gmail.com.
